The Hill Lab enjoys a camping trip at Medicine Bow National Forest. We went for hikes, played in the hot springs, cooked good food, observed the Perseids meteor shower and group bonded. Camper van broke down 🙁 Can’t wait for next year!

Congratulations to Dr. Owen Lee and co-authors for their recent publication in ACS-Macro letters! The paper shows that orthogonal thiol-allyl coupling (a highly underrated coupling reaction) can be an efficient means of connecting macromers with tunable dynamic boronic ester crosslinks. Congratulations to Ally Cunningham, Gwen Wilusz, Owen Lee, and John Estock on their new publication in JACS! This work shows plausible recycling of PMMA and PS, two commonly used polymers, through the capture of reactive species formed under mechanical force. A step in the right direction for better, more sustainable plastics recycling. Please read the paper here
